The book “The Daily Disaster: Real-Life Stories 30 Amazing Disasters,” by Cormac O' Brien and the daily disaster staff , is a very exciting book. I loved this book for many reasons. This was about true events that happened around the world dating from 1871 to 1999. I also liked this book because it reminds me of the Lemony Snicket book series. The book has amazing stories about disasters, fun facts, and much more. There also is a lot of information people can relate to like mudslides or snowstorms. I recommend this book to ages 8 years and older. The only thing readers may not like is the reality of this book and how in these disasters people were injured. If you enjoy this book you will enjoy The Atlas of Natural Disasters by Jeff Groman, and The 100 Greatest Disasters of All Time by Stephen J. Spignesi. There are 63 pages in this book. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Happy reading! (July, 2003)
