Imagine the Girl in the PaintingTitle: Imagine the Girl in the Painting
Author: American Girl
Publisher: The Pleasant Company
Number of Pages: 43

Imagine you are standing with your toes in the surf. Imagine you have your very own secret garden. Imagine you're the main subject in twenty different paintings, done by eighteen different artists.

This book took twenty very different paintings by eighteen different artists. All these paintings have on thing in common though, all they subjects are of girls. With each painting, you can imagine yourself in a different place, as a different girl, and in a different time period.

Every painting has a different scene, and different feelings in it. At the very end every painter has a short biography, which are very interesting to read.

This book was a very good book. I liked how it put you in the place of a girl in the painting. This book was a wonderful book and I would definitely recommend it, because it is fun to read and you get a little art history along with it. Girls ages 10 and up would probably enjoy it. (September, 2002)
