Tired of waiting for the next book in the Harry Potter series? Then I would recommend Light Land by H.L. McCutchen for a quick fix. (I read this book in three days)!

If you are a fan of mystery, suspense and action, you will enjoy this book a lot. It's about a girl named Lottie and her friend, Lewis, who have to save Light Land from being taken over by an evil King.

I really enjoyed all the adventure and action in this book. However, I wouldn't recommend it for younger readers, who might find it a bit frightening, because of some of the scary situations the heroes find themselves in.

I would say it is perfect for Grade 3 and up.

So if you want to enjoy a good read with lots of action and adventure, read Light Land.
For those of you who don't get into this type of action fiction, I would highly recommend The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. (December, 2002)
