Jan. 27, 2010: All About Vancouver and Whistler

The Mini Page is a syndicated, four-page tabloid written for young children found each Wednesday in The Denver Post. Activities:

1. Use newspaper words and pictures to create a poster about Vancouver.

2. Circle five things that you would take on a trip to Vancouver.

3.
Select five people in newspaper stories or the comics. Write a place in Vancouver that person might like to visit. Explain your choices.

4.
Where would you go in British Columbia if you liked (a) bird watching, (b) history, (c) an unusual bridge, and (d) Beluga whales?

5. Pretend you are on a trip to Vancouver. Pick five places to visit. Write about your visits in a travel journal.
