Activities:
1. Use newspaper words and pictures to make a poster showing how to care for pets.
2. Divide a circle into three sections. In the sections put newspaper words/pictures for pets that could live in an apartment, a house, and a farm or ranch.
3. Circle newspaper words and pictures that show things to use in taking care of pets and things to use in playing with pets.
4. Why is it important to be responsible for (a) feeding a pet, (b) giving a pet water, and (c) making sure a pet gets exercise?
5. Make a daily schedule showing how you would take care of a pet (or a pretend pet).
Mini Page activities meet many state and national educational standards. Each week we identify standards that relate to The Mini Page content and offer activities that will help your students reach them. This week's standard:
- Students identify the needs of plants and animals. (Character Education:Caring)
