Activities:

1. On a piece of paper, draw a profile of your father. Paste newspaper words and pictures of things that tell about him on his profile.

2. Paste comic strip fathers on a piece of paper. Write words describing each father.

3. Draw a star on the newspaper stories or pictures your father would like to read or see. Then give the newspaper to him.

4. Use the newspaper to find places to share sports, entertainment, a meal, and other fun things with your father.

5. Design a poster for your father showing how he helps you (a) be smart, (b) stay healthy, and (c) enjoy life.

Mini Page activities meet many state and national educational standards. Each week we identify standards that relate to The Mini Page content and offer activities that will help your students reach them. This week's standard:

  • Students demonstrate respectful and caring relationships in the family (Family and Consumer Science: Interpersonal Relationships)
